BREAKING: Incompetent San Juan Mayor Resorts To PLEADING to Trump To Back Off

San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz is all but begging President Trump to stop talking about Puerto Rico’s debt, and about the poor job she is doing with cleanup and getting relief supplies to those who need it.
When will she admit the problem is NOT with President Trump, FEMA, or the United States but with HER???
From NYPost
The mayor of San Juan, who President Trump blasted for her “poor leadership,” said the priority after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico should be “saving lives.”
“Let us not talk about the debt. Let us not talk about the cost of reconstruction. Let’s just talk about saving lives right now,” Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” “You put the people above the debt. People’s lives and avoiding death above the debt. That’s just how it’s done.”
Cruz and Trump have been engaged in a running war of words over the Trump administration’s response to the hurricane that has ravaged the US territory.
Trump in tweets said Puerto Rico is in “deep trouble” after being hit by a hurricane unlike Texas and Florida, seemed to blame the country’s “broken infrastructure & massive debt” for hindering response efforts and attacked the residents for not doing more for themselves – “They want everything to be done for them.”
In a tweet he posted on Sept. 25, just five days after Maria hit the island with Category 5 winds, he brought up Puerto Rico’s $73 billion debt to the US.
Admitting she was only at FEMA’s main control center once, she said she has remained in contact with federal officials coordinating the efforts and called for more resources.
“I’ve been quite complimentary of the people from [the Health and Human Services Department] and FEMA,” Cruz said. “Their heart is in the right place, but we have to cut the red tape. … Things have to be done in a sustained manner.”
FEMA’s administrator, Brock Long, said his agency has been working around the clock to bring aid to Puerto Rico and called it “unfortunate” that Cruz hasn’t been more involved.
“The unfortunate aspect is that we’ve tried to embed my staff with the mayor and I think she just answered the question, I think she – if I just heard correctly – she’s been there once. This is an operation that has to take place all the time. She does have access to commodities,” Long said later on “This Week.”
Long said other mayors have been “very pleased” with the operation and they’ve retrieved supplies from the 11 regional distribution hubs on the island.
Other mayors have stepped up and drove to the hubs to get the food and supplies and dispersed them to their communities.
“The problem is if you are not connected into that joint field office then you don’t understand commanders’ intent, you don’t understand the successes of what’s been done versus what needs to be done (and) where the gaps are,” he said.
